REFLECTION OF SIMULATION AND MODELLING

Before this, I have heard about simulation and modeling in my study but I cannot differentiate between those two item uses in teaching. In this class, I have expose to the same example of simulation and modeling and also the explanation from the lecturer.  A simulation is the manipulation of a model in such a way that it operates on time or space to compress it, thus enabling one to perceive the interactions that would not otherwise be apparent because of their separation in time or space. While a model is a simplified representation of a system at some particular point in time or space intended to promote understanding of the real system.
The use of simulation and modeling will make the student more understand because it’s shown the real image that we cannot see through our eyes. Besides, it will makes student more attractive to learn and give attention during the class. Moreover, the process that complex and difficult to explain can use the simulation and modeling rather than let the student to imagine it in their own and the possibility to misconception will increase. Every student has their own ability, some student can imagine but some are not.
As a conclusion, simulation and modeling is good to used in the teaching process to increase the skills of the students in cognitive, psychomotor and affective.
